With so much going on this time of year, it can be easy to stay in constant motion. Creative time offers a chance to pause, focus, and enjoy the process. We’ve put together a mix of experiences designed to help you do just that.

Kids (Ages 5–11)

​Pizza & Paint Night | April 25 • 5:30-8pm

• A relaxed evening of painting paired with pizza and good company.
• Follow step-by-step instruction to create your own artwork.
• Customize colors and details to make it uniquely yours.
• Enjoy a fun, social atmosphere in the studio.
• No experience needed—just come ready to create and enjoy.

​Whimsey & Mischief • Labubu Inspired Art | April 26 • 1-3pm

• Create a playful, character-inspired artwork with a whimsical style.
• Follow step-by-step guidance while adding your own creative details.
• Inspired by colorful, imaginative design and trending characters.
• A fun, relaxed experience—no prior art experience needed.
• Registration is through the City of Vacaville website.

For Adults & Teens (Ages 13+)

​Painter's Choice | April 21 • 6-8pm

• Choose from a selection of painting designs in the studio.
• Follow step-by-step guidance from an instructor.
• Customize colors and details to make it your own.
• A relaxed, social painting experience.
• No experience needed—just come ready to create.

​Crushed Glass Suncatcher Workshop | April 25 • 10am-12pm

• Design a sparkling suncatcher using crushed glass and resin.
• Fill a wood frame with colorful textures that catch the light.
• Includes all materials and step-by-step guidance.
• A relaxed, creative workshop—no experience needed.
• Special offer: Register one for $45, get one for $30.

​Mosaic Magic Mushroom Workshop | May 1 • 1-3pm

• Create your own mosaic mushroom using colorful tiles and embellishments.
• Learn simple mosaic techniques in a beginner-friendly format.
• A fun, relaxing project for all skill levels.
• A creative way to explore texture and design.
• Special offer: Register one for $45, get one for $30.

For Everyone

​Open Studio: Creative Cafe

• A relaxed studio time with an art café feel—come in, settle in, and create.
• Choose from a menu of creative projects.
• Basic supplies, tools, and workspace available.
• Joyful Art Center staff are nearby for light guidance if you want it.
• A welcoming space to slow down, explore, and create at your own pace.

We love having a space where kids, teens, and adults can come in and try something creative without pressure. If something here catches your eye, we’d be happy to see you in the studio.
