An Invitation to Something Meaningful at Joyful Art Center

I wanted to share something close to my heart that we’ve been working on at Joyful Art Center and personally invite you to be part of it.

What started years ago as a few kids around my dining room table has grown into something much bigger than I ever expected. Not just in size, but in purpose.

Over time, I’ve seen how powerful art can be. Not just as a creative outlet, but as a way for people to feel seen, to process experiences, and to connect with one another in ways that words sometimes can’t.

That’s really what led to this project.

Squares of Connection

This April, we’re opening a community exhibition that brings together individual pieces of artwork created by people from very different walks of life, including members of our local community and individuals connected through restorative arts programs.

Each piece stands on its own, but together they tell a larger story about connection, humanity, and shared experience.

It’s one of those projects that reminds you how much more we have in common than we think.

You’re Invited

I would truly love for you to join us for the opening night:

April 16, 2026
5:30 – 7:30 PM
Vacaville Museum

It will be a relaxed, welcoming evening, a chance to experience the installation, connect with others in the community, and see firsthand the kind of impact creative spaces can have.

This project is a reflection of the direction Joyful Art Center is growing. Deeper into community, connection, and meaningful experiences through art.
