As the school year winds down, schedules are filling up fast with end-of-year activities and events. In the middle of all the busyness, creative time can be a great way to slow down and recharge. We’re excited to keep creating alongside so many kids, teens, and adults during this final stretch of the season.

Kids (Ages 5–11)

​Swiftie Art Party | May 17 • 1-3pm

• Create Taylor Swift-inspired artwork in a fun, music-filled atmosphere.
• Explore bold colors, creative themes, and personalized details.
• Enjoy a relaxed, beginner-friendly experience for fans and creatives alike.
• Registration is through the City of Vacaville website.

​Pizza & Paint Night | May 22 • 5:30-8pm

• A relaxed evening of painting, pizza, and good company.
• Follow step-by-step guidance to create your own artwork.
• Personalize your piece with your own colors and details.
• Enjoy a fun, social atmosphere in the studio.

For Adults & Teens (Ages 13+)

​Painter's Choice | May 12 • 6-8pm

• Choose from two painting designs.
• Follow guided, step-by-step instruction.
• Customize colors and details to make it your own.
• A relaxed and social creative experience.
• No experience needed—just come ready to create.

​Watercolor Meet Up | May 21 • 6-8pm

• A relaxed gathering for watercolor painting and creative exploration.
• Work on your own ideas or experiment with new techniques.
• Light guidance available from a Joyful Art Center instructor.
• Enjoy a calm, welcoming studio atmosphere.
• Open to all skill levels—just come ready to paint.

For Everyone

​Open Studio: Creative Cafe

• A relaxed studio time with an art café feel—come in, settle in, and create.
• Choose from a menu of creative projects.
• Basic supplies, tools, and workspace available.
• Joyful Art Center staff are nearby for light guidance if you want it.
• A welcoming space to slow down, explore, and create at your own pace.

We love having a space where kids, teens, and adults can come in and try something creative without pressure. If something here catches your eye, we’d be happy to see you in the studio.
